I've finally read a book I wanted to read long time ago

Eat Pray Love

Ho finalmente letto un libro che volevo leggere da tempo

Mangia, Prega, Ama

 

I so liked the first part very much

the one set in Rome

first, because Italy is my home and no one better than an Italian can

understand what means feeling Italian

second, because I like how Liz journey's inside herself starts from her stomach

Mi è piaciuta tanto la prima parte, quella ambientata a Roma

primo, perchè l'Italia è la mia casa e nessuno meglio di un italiano

può capire la meraviglia di sentirsi italiano

Secondo, mi è piaciuto che il viaggio di Liz di ritrovare se stessa cominciasse dal suo

stomaco

 

Eat seems the new frontier

So many aspiring chefs

who dream to feed the world

Mangiare sembra la nuova frontiera

Tutti questi aspiranti chef che sognano

di sfamare il mondo

 

I liked that part of the book because when I feel a bit upside down

the first thing I want to do is

cook something yummy and open a bottle of wine

It may be the warmth of the oven

the sound of casseroles and pans

the vivid colours of ingredients

the smells and savours brought to life

Mi è piaciuta quella parte di libro perchè quando mi sento un po' sottosopra

la prima cosa di cui ho voglia è

cucinare qualcosa di buono e aprire una bottiglia di vino

Sarà il calore del forno

il suono di casseruole e padelle

i colori vividi degli ingredienti

i sapori e i profumi che prendono vita

 

Yes, there's something comforting in the kitchen

when you cook you create

At least, it doesn't take much to feel happy

Già, c'è qualcosa di confortante in una cucina

quando si cucina si crea

In fondo, ci vuole davvero poco per sentirsi felici
